The Rab rooftops, yachts, palm trees, and old hotels on the hillside evoked a sense of familiarity, making me ponder whether it resembled Italy or the backdrop of an Agatha Christie novel set in the imperial age. It was a truly relaxing and picturesque experience.

A special experience. I visited the island for a second time, the first being seven years ago, and over the years, I have noticed a significant deterioration and abandonment. There are areas where you can spot trash, most likely left by tourists. The island holds great historical value and should be better protected and maintained. With a little effort, it could become a wonderful, well-organized tourist destination with a unique character. Despite this, it is definitely worth a visit. A tourist train operates on the island, offering a 20-minute ride where you can see everything from the outside. However, it is also recommended to explore on foot as you can witness more by walking inside the buildings. It is important to be cautious though, as some areas may have unsafe ground conditions. Kamen na kamen opet samo kamen.

This review has been rewritten and proofread for clarity: A stunning cove, reachable only by boat or by foot from Jablanac (follow the stony path from the promenade), offers a perfect spot for swimming and relaxation. Jablanac itself boasts a delightful seafront, ideal for a day of swimming with children, but the cove provides a more secluded experience with tranquil and crystal-clear waters. It is worth noting that there is an entry fee of approximately 30 kuna per person. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.
Zavratnica Bay, near Stinica village, is a picturesque hidden gem in Croatia. Its crystal-clear waters, rugged cliffs, and underwater beauty make it a must-visit destination.~7.9 km

The water was incredibly clear and it was an amazing experience snorkeling above the sunken ship. We hadn't planned on stopping here, but while we were on our way from the Rab ferry, we noticed a sign that pointed to a viewpoint of the bay from above. It was absolutely breathtaking, so we turned around and headed back to Jablanac. From there, we followed the path that went around the cliffs and led us to Zavratnica bay. It took us around 20 minutes to get there, but since it was in the middle of the day and extremely hot, the walk was a bit challenging. Nevertheless, the scenery itself was stunning and definitely worth the trip. The landscape resembled something out of a moon-like setting, which provided a striking contrast against the blue sea. Unlike other travelers, we actually enjoyed the fact that there was a fee for tickets. We found the price of 5 euros to be reasonable, and the person in charge was quite funny and represented a typical local. It was heartwarming to see someone like him, as it reminded us of a dying breed. Towards the end of the bay, I was slightly disappointed with the surroundings, but the water remained beautiful and the landscape remained unique. I would definitely go back and would make sure to stay longer next time.
