What an absolutely breathtaking location! We hiked all the way up from Veli Losinj, and although it was quite challenging with the steep and rocky terrain, it was definitely worth the effort. As we reached the top, we were greeted by a charming little church that seemed to have stood there for centuries. It sat gracefully on the summit of a stunning ridge, surrounded by limestone, pine trees, juniper bushes, and an abundance of aromatic herbs. The fragrance in the air was simply intoxicating. And the views from up there were truly awe-inspiring, no matter which direction you looked.

This place is definitely worth the walk, although we initially got lost relying on Google for directions. As you make your way uphill towards Veli Losinj, you'll come across a big roundabout on a cliff edge. Once you arrive, you'll find yourself in a beautiful garden set in terraces. During the summer, they offer a variety of teas and drinks for visitors to enjoy. What makes this place even more special is the owner, who is an exceptional local herbalist that learned from the wisdom of the local people. The garden itself is now 20 years old and is filled with delightful scents. Additionally, they have a great shop that sells numerous local remedies.

Attracted by the Captain's friendliness, we chose this boat for our island trip. It is anchored in front of the Lussinpiccolo archaeological museum and doesn't carry many people. There were 11 of us and we had a great time. We depart at 10 am and return at 6 pm. The boat offers two different itineraries on alternate days, and we did both and were satisfied!! The cost is 30 euros per person, including an excellent and abundant lunch on board with a choice of grilled fish, meat, and vegetables with side dishes, and drinks are included! We made various stops in beautiful bays, villages, and even Veli Losinj!!! Don't miss it! The Captain speaks excellent Italian, as well as German, English, and French! We hope to return soon.
