The Cathedral of St. Anastasia is located in the center of town, near the old Roman Forum, making it easily accessible. During our brief stop in Zadar on a TUI cruiser, my family and I had the pleasure of visiting this stunning structure. Admission to the cathedral is free, but there is a fee of 2 Euros to access the Bell Tower. It is worth noting that the tower has several narrow steps, so caution is advised.

town of Zadar
User reviews
Located right on the coast with numerous marinas, Zadar offers delightful sailing opportunities and stunningly clear water. We found the city to be friendly and impeccably clean, with very little litter, which was a pleasant surprise. Our accommodation, Sfinga, albeit a bit run down, was still enjoyable. It seemed that there was an old people's home nearby, as we noticed many elderly residents in the area. Zadar's old city is just a short walk of approximately a mile along the coast road. We advise against driving, as parking is extremely difficult, especially in the old city. There are two ferry departure points here for the islands (and another one on the opposite side of Zadar), so if you plan on using the ferries, make sure to confirm your departure location and time. During our visit, it seemed that another ferry terminal was under construction. The locals were incredibly lovely and friendly, with most having some knowledge of English. They appreciated our attempts to speak Croatian. There are plenty of dining options, including restaurants and supermarkets, ensuring a wide variety of choices for meals.
