This place offers a bit of history and a refreshing break from the heat when visiting the town. We spent around an hour exploring the area. The docent at the entrance was extremely friendly and engaging, willingly answering several questions for us. Prior to entering the monastery, there is a small museum-style hall displaying interesting artwork and artifacts. Although the chapel was under construction, we were still able to walk through it. Additionally, there is a lovely courtyard area with various reliefs, sculptures, fruit trees, and even tortoises. In the center of the courtyard, there is a remarkably old well that adds to the charm of the place. We took our time browsing around and enjoyed the cool and tranquil atmosphere. Moreover, the entry fee was very affordable.

Constructed in the 15th century as a gesture of gratitude for being saved from the plague, this building features a city clock tower rather than a traditional bell tower. Unfortunately, in the mid-19th century, it was converted into a warehouse. However, it has now been fully restored and serves as a poignant reminder of the brave defenders who lost their lives during the Homeland War.
