Ugljan – The island of Ugljan lies is several nautical miles away from Zadar, and it is connected to the island of Pasman by a bridge.

It has been inhabited since the Roman times, which can be seen through the remains of Roman convents and old summer residences. Noble families from Zadar used to built their residences on the island, most famous of which is the Califfi castle from the 17th century.

Kukljica is fishing village on the island of Ugljan, only five sea miles from Zadar and well conected with ferryboats.

Ideal spot for rest and swimming, plenty of sunshine and beautiful beaches: the Kostanj beach is fringed by a wondorous pine grove, refreshed by the gentle maestrale; the large, shallow and healing sandy beach of Sabusa is perfect for children and nonswimmers; the naturist beach of Jelenica; the Zaglav beach – rocks and man-made concrete plateaus – in the Zelena punta tourist complex.
