Labin – Ignore the rather ugly modern outskirts of Labin, which were built for the 20th century mining community, and you’ll be rewarded by the old town. Set on a rocky knoll, with far-reaching views around upper Istria, it has been fortified since Illyrian times and was an important outpost for the Roman and the Venetians.
Labin is a meeting place for sculptors and artists.
