What a stunning little island! The Franciscan monastery is a must-see and it's delightful to wander around. However, the main attraction is definitely feeding the wild deer. Be sure to bring some apples, break them into pieces, and don't be surprised when they all come charging towards you! A helpful tip: wait until the excitement dies down after the taxi boat drops you off before approaching the deer. Once you find a couple, you can feed them by hand. They are incredibly gentle and beautiful creatures. The restaurant on the island has friendly staff and the water is absolutely amazing. Just keep in mind not to have high expectations. This island is perfect for feeding deer, going on a little hike, and swimming in the stunning and pristine waters. If you have some extra money to spare, I highly recommend visiting this island and then heading to Vrnik for lunch at the arts club. The menu there is a bit peculiar as the main courses are quite expensive, but the items listed as starters can actually be enjoyed as main meals as well. I cannot recommend the asparagus carbonara enough. It's a truly delicious dish that includes pancetta and can satisfy anyone's appetite.
Zlatni rat beach
Zlatni rat beach, located on the southern coast of the island of Brac, is a stunning natural paradise. With its unique shape that constantly changes due to the currents and winds, this pebble beach is a true marvel to behold. The crystal-clear turquoise waters and the surrounding lush pine forests create a picture-perfect setting for a day of relaxation and sunbathing.
Loved by three generations, this place is perfect for family outings. There are plenty of benches available for the grandparents, while the grandchildren can enjoy slides and other play equipment. Even the parents of the children, who are the grandchildren of the grandparents, can find some moments of relaxation here.
This place is definitely worth a visit! The best way to get there is by car and then walk for approximately 10 minutes in the shade. While there isn't a traditional beach, it is still easy to access the sea. The water is incredibly clean and beautiful, making it perfect for snorkeling and swimming.
Perna is a hidden gem on the Island of Hvar, located near Sucuraj. This place is truly breathtaking, offering a serene and tranquil atmosphere. With its pristine white sand and crystal clear waters, Perna boasts a picturesque beach destination. The surrounding nature adds an enchanting touch, providing shade and a refreshing ambiance. Overall, Perna is a fantastic spot to unwind and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature.
The boat trip itself was delightful. This small island offered more privacy compared to the larger island of Korcula, although it wasn't completely secluded. The walking trails were pleasant, and the beaches were perfect for swimming or snorkeling. There was a small restaurant that catered to our food, drink, and restroom needs. It was wise to bring our own water and snacks, as some of the beaches were a few hundred meters away from the restaurant. Overall, we had a great experience.
