This chapel is the most significant one in St. Lawrence's Cathedral. It is called the Chapel of Ivan Trogirski, and it houses the tomb of the saint and former Bishop of Trogir. During his lifetime, miracles were attributed to him, and even after his death, many more miracles occurred. The chapel itself is a rectangular room designed in the Roman style. In the center of the room, there is an elaborate tomb of the saint, which is a fine example of Baroque polychromy. Along the walls, there are vertical niches, each containing a standing sculpture of Jesus, an apostle, or a saint, all looking towards the tomb. The ceiling features a Romanesque arch, decorated with coffers, each displaying a relief of a seraphim.

There has been a church at this location since the 13th century, originally serving as a monastery. Similar to many monasteries, the church buildings are arranged around a cloister. Upon arrival, there is a small entrance fee and the staff will direct you into the church through the cloister. The cloister itself features a garden, with a well located in the center. The well is shaped like a large urn and is covered with metal grating. Additionally, there are various broken masonry pieces and statues on display in this area. Inside the church, the nave is an open space with chapels scattered throughout. One of the most remarkable chapels is a Baroque chapel dedicated to Mary. This particular chapel showcases a painting that depicts the life of Mary, ranging from the Annunciation to the Assumption. The painting is housed within a Baroque ciborium, which features pink columns adorned with Corinthian capitals and broken pediments. Male angels are placed on top of the ciborium. Most of the other chapels within the church appear to be dedicated to monks, St. Dominic, St. Francis, or a combination of these. Sometimes, everyone just needs a break from the usual Old Town walks, and nature is the perfect remedy. This garden offers decomposed granite paths that meander through grassy areas adorned with benches. The park is bordered by a canal and a connecting bridge from the marina side. However, the real highlight is the vibrant and colorful rose garden, known as Ruzicnjak Rosengarten. As we strolled through the park, we came across a monument dedicated to Croatian Soldiers. The pillars, in a state of decay, symbolized individuals who were falling down while still resisting. This intriguing positioning struck us deeply. The memorial is situated under the shade of trees and is centered around a Christian cross on an upright plinth. The canal that borders the park seems to host a permanent street fair. Here, you can find a variety of food, clothing, souvenirs, and all the typical offerings of a street fair.
