Among the religious buildings of other religions, the Synagogue from the 15th century is the most important building which is also, by the continuity of using, the second oldest Synagogue in Europe.

Dubrovnik is well known by its museums too, which are annually visited up to half a million tourists. With the most visited Dubrovnik´s museum in Rector´s Palace, the Maritime Museum is where you can learn all about the maritime history of Dubrovnik. From the Middle Ages to the 20th century.

Dubrovnik surrounding areas are characterized by the harmony of architecture, wrapped in a green environment. This is particularly evident in the southernmost corner of the Croatia, in a fertile valley Konavle.

The main Konavle´s Picturesque town Cavtat is the birthplace of the great Croatian painter Vlaho Bukovac. His birth house is converted into a gallery of his paintings. Another valuable ornament of town of Cavtat is a family Racic mausoleum dated from 1921, the work of the Croatian aculptor Ivan Mestrovic.

The coast west of Dubrovnik, is a place known by Dubrovnik nobles´s summer villas surrounded by greenery. On one of these properties, in the picturesque village Trsteno, there is the most beautiful Croatian arboretum with various kinds of subtropical plants and trees. Arboretum is decorated with sculptures, the most notable is the statue of the Greek god Poseidon.

Further west, there is the most special part of Dubrovnik region, the Neretva River delta with its preserved landscapes and picturesque places along the Neretva River. Town Opuzen stands out by its beauty. Not far from the largest city of the Neretva area, Metkovic, there is a village Vid that is located at the site of the former Roman Narona.
